Extreme temperature single-lip PTFE rotary shaft seal for higher sealability
Design incorporates a formed seal lip with an “elf-toe” design offering extended runout and improved sealability, for abrasive media or gaseous media, due to the slightly higher lip load. A metallic thermal control ring provides dimensional control under thermal cycling conditions. Capable of handling extreme temperature, abrasive media, high surface speeds, low to medium pressures, and can even run dry. Soft OD eliminates damage to housings manufactured from expensive metals. Integrated O-ring on the OD of the seal serves as an anti-rotation device and provides positive static sealing between the seal and the bore. Typically used for a high sealability solution for gearboxes, submersible pumps/motors and mixers. Small quantities are available in 2-4 days.
