    Spring-loaded metal-cased single-lip oil seal

    Premium spring-loaded single-lip rotary shaft seal with precision ground metal OD. Used for oil or grease retention.

    This type is also the most economical design for general-purpose rotary sealing applications.  An optimized seal lip with a garter spring maintains a constant radial lip force for optimum sealing.  The metal case is exposed to the elements and to the fluid, however, the application of an optional sealant coating to the case, improves both static sealing and corrosion resistance between the housing and the seal OD.  For dirty, dusty or polluted environments, our BS style with additional dust lip should be used.

    Single lip metal cased grease seal

    Premium general purpose springless grease seal with integrated metal reinforcement element for press-in fitment in an open housing.  Designed to control leakage in grease-packed bearings.

    This type is also the most economical design for general purpose rotary sealing applications.  The springless lip imparts low friction and heat generation.   The metal case is exposed to the elements and to the fluid; however, the application of an optional sealant coating to the case improves both static sealing and corrosion resistance between the housing and the seal OD.  This is an excellent low friction seal for non-pressurized media such as grease or highly viscous fluids.
