    Spring-loaded single-lip oil seal

Premium spring-loaded single-lip rotary shaft seal made from low friction elastomers with integrated steel reinforcing element. Used for oil or grease retention.

The optimized seal lip design uses a garter spring to maintain a constant radial lip load, thus ensuring optimum sealability. The rubber covered OD press fits to create a positive seal with the housing bore. The rubber OD also provides optimal compensation for housings of different thermal expansion, making it ideal for reducing the risk of fretting corrosion in soft alloy or plastic housings.  A higher surface roughness of the housing bore may be accommodated by this seal style. For dirty, dusty or polluted environments, our AS…

    Spring-loaded metal-cased single-lip oil seal

Premium spring-loaded single-lip rotary shaft seal with precision ground metal OD. Used for oil or grease retention.

This type is also the most economical design for general-purpose rotary sealing applications.  An optimized seal lip with a garter spring maintains a constant radial lip force for optimum sealing.  The metal case is exposed to the elements and to the fluid, however, the application of an optional sealant coating to the case, improves both static sealing and corrosion resistance between the housing and the seal OD.  For dirty, dusty or polluted environments, our BS style with additional dust lip should be used.

    Spring-loaded reinforced metal-cased single-lip oil seal

Premium spring-loaded single-lip rotary shaft seal with heavy duty metal structure. Used for oil or grease retention.

The reinforced metal casing protects the sealing lip from damage or accidental spring dislocation when shaft installation is against the sealing lip.  An optimized seal lip with a steel garter spring maintains a constant radial lip force for optimum sealing.  The metal case is exposed to the elements and to the fluid; however, the application of an optional sealant coating to the case improves both static sealing and corrosion resistance between the housing and the seal OD.  For dirty, dusty or polluted environments, our CS style with additional dust lip…

    Spring-loaded single-lip oil seal

Spring-loaded single-lip rotary shaft seal with non-metallic reinforcing element.

Used for oil and grease retention.

The optimized seal lip design uses a stainless steel garter spring to maintain a constant radial lip load, thus ensuring optimum sealability.  The non-metal reinforcement element ensures concentric fitment and increased corrosion resistance over traditional shaft seals.  This style is available in a wide range of elastomers and small quantities for repairs and seal replacement and can be shipped in 1 to 3 days.  Can be provided for larger and non-standard bore tolerances.  For dirty, dusty or polluted environments, our R2 style with additional dust lip should be used.
