Single-lip PTFE rotary shaft seal for higher sealability
This seal design incorporates a formed seal lip with an “elf-toe” design offering extended runout and improved sealability, especially for abrasive media or gaseous media, due to the slightly higher lip load. It is capable of handling extreme temperature, abrasive media, high surface speeds, low to medium pressures, and can even run dry. The soft seal OD eliminates damage to housings manufactured from expensive metals. An integrated O-ring on the OD of the seal serves as an anti-rotation device and provides positive static sealing between the seal and the bore.
